Welling Lodge 5976

Province of West Kent
Welling Lodge are a friendly and inclusive lodge in the heart of West Kent. Our Lodge was consecrated on Thursday 30th November 1944 and is over 75 years old and still going strong. We hold five regular meetings a year but meet most weeks for Lodge of Instruction to catch up and have a drink. We come from all walks of life and professions.

Words from our Grand Officer
Freemasonry has allowed me to develop as a person over the 40 plus years I have been a member. I have gained many friends who hold the same values in life as me, such as integrity, respect, and service. It has been a light on how I should, and have, lived my life.
Friendship – I would not have made so many varied friendships had I not joined Freemasonry. These are from all walks of life and all social, religious, and cultural backgrounds.
Integrity – If I say that I will do something, then I will do my best to undertake the task. In life, we always try to do the right thing and have a moral compass that means supporting and not hurting others.
Respect – Respect may be old fashioned these days, but I have found that if you respect others, then in return they will respect you. With the people I have met, and conversations had, one has a better understanding of the world around them and can work through differences.
Service – Helping others, either by giving my time supporting a parkrun or other community events, or raising money at fun social functions, without the need for recognition.
